The Association of Future African Neurosurgeons (AFAN) is a non- governmental and nonprofit organization, consisting of medical students, physicians and neurosurgery specialists that provides neurosurgery resources for African medical students.
We used a nationwide survey to identify concerns of med students relating to neurosurgical education during Covid-19.
An unanticipated outcome of the Covid-19 pandemic has been the unprecedented rise of virtual neurosurgery education.
Since the launch of Medical Student Neurosurgery Training Camps in 2019, we have seen tremendous growth.
The Covid-19 pandemic has thrown a wrench into everyone’s plans and this disruption has changed the lives of everyone in neurosurgery.
