Selection Process - SET Program in Neurosurgery
The selection process to the SET Program in Neurosurgery is highly competitive. There are two steps to apply for the SET Program in Neurosurgery.
Register for selection with the College via their website.
Submit an application using the online application form.
The eligibility criteria are subject to change on an annual basis. The eligibility criteria for the current process can be found in the Regulations for the SET Program in Neurosurgery which are available on this webpage.
Registration for selection closes in approximately February each year so it is important to watch the College website carefully to ensure you do not miss the closing date. Once registered an eligibility check is conducted to ensure you meet the minimum eligibility requirements. The College may charge a fee for registration for selection. Registration for the current round of selection has now closed.
The application process for those registered opens at the commencement of April, usually for a one month period. During this time registered applicants who are eligible will have access to the online application form. Late applications are not considered. After the closing date for application the selection process for the SET Program in Neurosurgery takes approximately three months. For information on the current round of selection click here. A fee will be charged for application to the SET Program in Neurosurgery. For the 2009 intake the fee is $500 plus GST.
